ICD founder and owner Varda Singer comes from a family entrenched in the jewelry business. A recipient of the Jeweler of the Year honor from the New York State Jewelers Association, Varda hails from Israel, where her father was a prominent diamond merchant. After serving as a lieutenant in the Israeli army, Varda came to America to attend Columbia University, where she attained a degree in psychology and education. She began her career as a jeweler importing and selling at the wholesale level. The connections she established with international suppliers helped her launch ICD in her hometown of Chappaqua.
Today Varda travels the world in search of unique treasures, designs jewelry lines exclusive to ICD, and creates custom pieces for clients.

Virginia values treating customers truly like gold. This includes working closely with each person on achieving their dream jewelry piece, collaborating alongside Varda Singer on a beautiful design, and connecting each customer’s vision with reality.
However, Virginia does not stop her work in the showroom. As personal concierge, she will manage expectations with customers, provide elite service, and even hand deliver jewelry whenever possible.
