Dear ICD, 

I wasn’t sure what to anticipate. I spilled all my jewelry onto a long table in the intimacy of my home .

Varda began sifting, sorting and making piles in a process that came so naturally to her. I was captivated by her intense concentration-wondering where this assessment and reinvention could go. 

Like a magician but a jeweler, Varda began to imagine transforming my baubles. Based upon my lifestyle, she felt I lacked dramatic hanging earrings. In an instant, she configured my small simple diamond hoop earring with art deco diamond and pearl pin. She suggested cutting the pin in half and attaching the halves to the hoop.Suddenly, I could envision these beyond gorgeous and significant hanging gems.

Varda’s savies suggested I combine different strands and pearls to create a smashing significant bracelet. A bracelet from years back and too cutesy for now was transformed onto three pair of precious earrings for my Granddaughters. My examples continue to multiply. 

I feel that the renewal yielded me a whole new and unique wardrobe of precious pieces. Varda honored the sentimentality of my treasures and combined them with her incredible eye and talent. With no expense incurred, my whole experience was a giant gift. Thank you Varda for sharing your expertise and chic sense of style while enhancing my precious collection.

Dear Varda,

I‘ve now worn all of the lovely pieces you redesigned for me. 

I wear one or the other of the two necklaces virtually everyday and always get compliments plus the enjoyment of having my happy memories with me rather than having them hidden away in my jewelry box. 

The South Sea pearl enhancer made its first appearance this past week at a cocktail attire event and was perfect with a dress that looked rather plain with my other pieces.

The redesign of my husband‘s grandmother‘s engagement ring into a necklace was one of the best jewelry decisions that I have ever made. Donna designed it for me and it has been a source of pride for me for years. I wish I could tell you how many compliments I have received on my one–of–a kind necklace. My own engagement ring and a pair of my mother‘s earring became the exquisite necklace that I wore to my daughter‘s wedding, again with Donna‘s help. My daughters have been the recipients of necklaces created from earrings belonging to my mother and my aunt. All the pieces have beautiful workmanship and are a pleasure to behold. I am in the process of turning a pendant into a necklace, with guidance from Varda. I look forward to seeing the finished reincarnation!

One of my first purchases from ICD (1982) was a beautiful Emerald cut Blue Topaz ring with diamonds on either side. I loved it and wore it for many years. Styles change and years later I wanted a less formal setting so back to Varda I went to redesign it. Then 9/11 happened. Together we decided to give the business to a jeweler in Israel. Of course business was terrible in Israel and I thought this would be a wonderful idea. So with Varda in charge that is what we did. It is my favorite everyday ring. What beautiful workmanship and design. I love it, wear it and have the memories. Very recently brought back my flowered pave diamond sleeves to Varda. I found that I was not wearing them enough and perhaps we could use the diamonds to designed a cocktail ring. Well, this ring is beyond gorgeous. It is elegant and just as I pictured it. I decided to re–design my engagement ring on my fortieth birthday. Since I was married at age 22, I was ready for a change. Well, I went to ICD with my husband who spotted an unusual ring in the case. Varda told us it was a copy of an Italian designer (?) but it was shaped in a circle and my diamond was an oval. As a result, I thought I could not get the ring that had caught my eye and made me want it more than anything. Well, Varda, the knowledgeable designer that she is figured out a way to insert my current diamond into the setting and surround it with pave diamonds. Believe it or not, today is my 60th birthday and I am still wearing that ring and I still get compliments on it. Varda made it happen which is why I always return to ICD for all jewelry advice. It is my go–to source for friends and relatives birthdays too. I especially love her early Mother‘s Day sale and so does my mother!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for being around for so long!

I‘ve been working with Varda at ICD for over twenty years. Over those years she has designed and redesigned many pieces of jewelry for me. She took a very dated 1980‘s diamond necklace and created a beautiful classic necklace that is timeless. Her design enhanced my stone and made it appear much larger by surrounding it with pave diamonds and put it on a diamond by the yard necklace. She also took a chunk of old jewelry and melted it down to form a round disc splattered with diamonds. Truly stunning. Best of all she created a gorgeous diamond cushion cut wedding band for our thirtieth anniversary. Varda has also done numerous repairs on my jewelry over the years. I have always been very happy with any service from ICD. I wouldn‘t go anywhere else.
